Oktober"!

Time goes by so quickly it's already October and I still love my hostfamily :)
I did a lot of things in the past month! I visited the Niagara Falls, but the trip was like a crazy movie about the worsest trip ever :D this weekend my hostparents spent their days in florida and the girls stayed in upstate new york with their grandparents... and my weekend was awesome!!!! Karo visited me and I picked her up at the bus stop where she arrived and then we spent the rest of the day in the city. First we walked up the fifth avenue got some food at whole foods and ate it in the central park and it was a really sunny day! after that we visited some stores made pictures and at the evening we went back to long island. On our way back we stopped at a liquor store and bought some sparkling vine for a nice girls dvd night with some other aub pairs and sushi :)
The night was really, really good and the next day we planned to go to the tanger outlet in riverhead so we started in the morning and spent their 7 hours of extreme shopping nice!
Later back home we watched a movie looked at our new stuff and started to get ready for our night out in new york city!!!! it was amazing we had so much fun :) and today we went to the city again just to hang out and spent the last hours together
THE BEST WEEKEND

Monday

Today a new week started and I had to work.. nice!
We watched Doodlebops, played with dolls and barbies, my little girl was my doctor :D
but it was a long day again.. and now I´m happy to have my freetime but I don´t feel like going to the gym.. but I have too :/ I´m happy when I can go in the morning again! and when it´s Friday.. because I looooove my weekend :D who not`? so now relaxing and watching tv ...

My awesome Weekend ♥

My weekendwas awesome and I´m really tired :D
Friday after work I went to the gym and then to the Cheesecakefactory with a few other au pairs and I had a Tempura Roll and a wild mushroom Flatbread yummi! but again no cheesecake but I promise the next time I will try one :)
The next morning I took the train to NYC to meet Kim a friend from the Training School who is living in New York too and my lovely Tine :) we met at the hard rock cafe and then our first stop was forever 21, then we took the subway to the central park where we bought some food from whole foods. Later we saw some crazy boys dancing and rent a boot at the boothouse from the movie 27 dresses hihiiii :)
after that we had ice cream and walked down the fifth avenue and went to century 21 near the ground zero! and the last point for this day was the Broocklyn Bridge :) then I started my trip back home with the first subway to grand central then with the second to the time square and from there I walked to penn station where I catched my train to merrick and there  finally my car was to finish the last miles! my bed was calling because it was after midnight  and I had to stand up early because we went to the tanger outlet in riverhead today where I spent a lot of money :D but I´m happy now :)

My first September post...

Everything is still good! I love my hostfamily and Irene was a nice guest :).. there where only some branches and stuff from the tree in the yard but nothing bad happend! and I hope that´s it for the first time :D
The last weeks where a bit stressful because one week no child had school and the last week one was sick and the youngest starts school on wednesday so.. fun all day long!
And since three weeks I´m a member in the gym right across the end of our street :):) and I try to visit it daily.. it´s really good to´work out and use the sauna or steam... or the pool because everything is included! perfect I love it :D
after work and gym I often meet Kristin an other au pair in my town and we do different things together panera bread, dunkin donuts, starbucks.. wir sind halt einfallsreich :D..

Our guest tonight: Irene!

A long time since my last post but now I have some time for a new one :) what has changed? Inken went home, my hostmum is in Miami, the elder kids are in Florida with the grandma, my host dads birthday is today AND Irene is coming tonight! You don´t know who is Irene ? it´s the nice hurricane who will hit long island later this night... and I´m a little bit afraid.. we made a few preparations like cleaning up the yard and buy bread an milk, batteries candles and lights.. I will move to an other room later because we are afraid that the tree in front of my window maybe can fall during the hurricane.. at the moment I´m skyping with my friend tine she is also waiting for Irene but in Maryland.. the days is a litte bit crazy everybody is nervous about what will be happen and if we are save.. the train and subway system shutted down this evening and some lower areas where evacuated and some near the beach too! my hostchild will sleep in the basement and and the flight from my hostmum for tomorrow is canceled so she will return on monday ...I hope after the hurricane everything will be good :) and the rain gets more and more.. in a few minutes I will have my owm waterfall in my room :D ohh my god cant believe that this is happen .. a few days ago there was an earthquake and now these hurricane.. ok we will look what will happen later!

The week

Monday at the Cheesecake factory I ate a salad and no cheesecake but I have to visit again and then I will eat a cheesecake :) Tuesday One of the girls stayed at home because she is sick and got fever so one of us get the other two to camp and the other one stayed at home that was the whole week like that we worked everyday till 6 pm and then we have done different things... tuesday we went to the cinema and watched a movie called friends with benefits :) Wednesday we went to cold stone and ate very delicious ice creme there and we met an other au pair too. Yesterday we only drove to CVS pharmacy to print some photos. And I bought a Arizona icetea yummiiii!! after that we watched tv and at 10pm together with our host parents Jersey Shore that was fun :D
and I dont now what we do today, but tomorrow Inken will fly to Vegas! and I think about spent my day in the city but I dont know already...

First days in my hostfamily

Friday Inken picked me up at the training school and then we drived to the house :) I was just a little bit excited because I met the parents after work at 6 pm and I really like them. At the first day we ate sushi and talked a little bit but I dont know what to say... after that my hostmum, Inken and I went to the cinema and we watched Harry Potter! And I really liked the movie we watched it in 3D. Saturaday we went to a little mall and to Target a Store where we bought towels and some food, after that Inken and I went to a bigger mall and I bought a new T shirt :) Later at night we watched Eclipse and ordered a Pizza... Sunday we went to the city and spent the day there, we went to the Time Spuare, Central Park, Broadway and a little mall where I bought new Sunglasses :):) and today we stand up early and bring the girls to their camp then we visited a big designer shoe warehouse :) and yeees now I have new shoes!!!!! then we played with the girls and had dinner at the cheesecake factory... so good night ;)

Welcome to New York

Now I am since one week in NY and its awesome the Training school the first 4 days was not so cool very stressful and less freetime there we learned things like never shake a baby and always wash your hands... so ok the school was a little bit dirty but they where all friendly ;) the food was not good but ok and after the learn day thursday was the fun day a trip to NYC including a bus tour and a ferry tour, also we visited the Top of the Rock that was really cool you can the the whole city from this point... but we had not enough time to see everything. For me was it okay I will stay here for one year :) and I really like my familiy and the girl they a so cute and nice :)! so later I will tell you what I have already done ... because now I drive to the cheeesecake factory yummi ..

GOOD BYE

20 Minutes ago my parents are driven into their vacation and I think I cried in these last 20 minutes more than in the last 19 years!
...I did not expect that my father would cry but he did it and finally he was once again as he was is former times... I get tears when I think about not to see them one year :(
As farewell gift I wished a book called Summer and the City by Candace Bushnell its one of the Carrie Diarie Novel and I hope its good and easy to read :) And to prepare for my next year its in englisch so I need a dictionary while Im reading ;)
Yesterday was a Bulgaria reloaded meeting but I joined only one hour because I went to an italian restaurant with my family...
Tomorrow my Grandparents will visit me ohh I forget the time its just today :D.... so they will come in a few hours and tomorrow too"! and when they bring me to the airport I will cry too... so but now I have to sleep a little bit because this night I only slept about 2 oder 3 hours.. good night :)

My farewell Party

Yesterday was my farewell party and it was really nice. First we made chocolate fondue and later salad and baguette :) Pia made the salad for me! a very delicious one... we talked a lot and the most of my friends have written in my book :) so cute things when I will read it in Amerika I think I will cry.. it was a wonderful night we we drunk sparkling wine and punch and have made many pictures one of them with all together I will upload! I got many goodbye gifts :) a pillow with a picture on, a clover chain, a first aid friend box, dollar bills, bracelets, a money savingbox and picturees... they where all so cute :):):)

Today is my farewell party and only 5days left I´m very excited and right now to late because in 45 minutes I meet my grandma for the preparations :D and I´m just in my bed.... so now I have to pack my things together and dress up :) I will write later a second time after my party but it will be a small one only with some friends. The Guestlist: Jessy, Franni Maren, Annika, Kathrin, Jessi, Mitch and Pia and we will make chocolate fondue yummiiii!!! can´t wait...

6 :)

Countdown! 6 day till my depature... I start to pack up my things in boxes.. because I dont want to stand all of the things in my room when I am away! It is so difficult not to forget anything...
And I just worked a little bit in the pre departure workbook.. soo many questions^^
But I have already printed all of the documents :) I wanted to start packing but now I am hungry and I think I make me crepê and start to pack my suitcase tomorrow!

Preparations

For my year I already bought a cam.. a rose one from sony and a adapter :) I got a nice book where all my collegues written something in and there are also pictures included. Because Saturday I had my last working day! there where all so cute and really liked my chocolate cake :) and now I have to prepare my goodbye presents for my friends and family... I really think that I will forget something...

7 Days!

I cant imagine but now are only 7 daysleft! only this one week until I fly to New York.. and I have to do a lot of things in this week. First I must go to the gym and give them my termination! then I start packingand buy tickets for the festival on Saturday, Wednesday is my farewell party, before it starts i go and shop everything we need for the party with my grandma, thursday we visit a theme park, Friday I have to cancel my car and saturday my familiy goes on vacation and I visit a festival called juicy beats with my friends, sunday my grandparents visit me for the last preparations :) and then MONDAY is my depature date we will start at 8.30 my aunt my grandparents and my friend maren bring me to the düsseldorf airport where at 13.30 my flight departs! a full schedule ;) then I have a stop in London for one hour! and we will arrive in NY at 17.40 :) there a person from CC pick us up and bring us to the training school where we meet all of the other au pairs... unbelieveable!!!

Final post!

This morning I got my final post. After checking the postbox I was very excited to have the final envelope in my hands in it where the luggage tags and some important informations and instructions! Now I have finally everything and CC has everything too nothing is missing :) only 17 days until my depature date... and I decided to use one suitcase ..my new rosa one and a handsuitcase.. and I hope everything fits in.. soo in 10 days I will begin with packing. I really like it to pack my luggage, because than my anticipation rises :)

Today I asked Inken which size the girls wear because I want to buy them nice hello kitty t shirts! and now I had to go to bed and sleep because tomorrow I must work very early-.- good night!

Skype

On sunday I had a skype conversation with my family in NY I was so excited before! but the conversation was good they planned a barbecue with some friends and their kids had a lot of friends in their house... I really like my family and look forward to meet them :) and only two and a half weeks until the first of august my depature date!!!! at the moment I have to work a lot but I like my work and colleagues. and in two weeks is my farewell party :) and I think about buying a camera to take many many pictures maybe today before I start to work! and the first I make I will upload ;)
so my friend Tine is since monday in NY at the training school and I miss her already I hope she visit me when I´m there...

CC Mail

Today one from Cultural Care sended me a email in which stand that they dont have my health certificate soo I answered that it will arrive tomorrow or the day after tomorrow! so good news :) everything for cultural care is done!! yesterday I sended an email to Inken and told her about my flight details and asked if I need towels... sooo only a few days :) 3 and a half weeks yehaaaaa!
and yesterday i visited my grandma to told her the news and then she gave me a suitcase which I can take with me on board! to I think I have to use only one siutcase and my hand luggage :) perfect! in the next days I will pack my suitcase a second time to look of everything fits... and today I was with tine by IKEA to buy some gifts for our friends and familys :) and maybe tomorrow in the morning we will draw something together.. Im looking soo forward to this year ♥

Oh yeeees!

Today I got my flight details :) and I will fly at 1:30pm from Düsseldorf to London and at 3:05pm to New York and the duration are 7:35 hours! we will arrive at 17:40 local time :) then one from the training school will pick us up and bring us to the school... now with my flight details i realise a little bit more :D now I will call my grandma and tell her the time because she my grandpa and my aunt will bring me to the airport. I ♥ my grandma because she is the cutest person i know and i think i will really miss her :( and after my call I will send Inken an email to tell her the details too. And everythink is done monday i visited the doc for my health certificate and the insurance sended me the certificate too! so I only must send it to cultural care ;) but at the moment i have to work lots of times... more work more money :D soo good bye!!

Only 38 day left! I cant realise its so exciting :) only a few posts away there where 64 days left and now 38.... incredibly! time passes quickly and my pleasures are getting bigger and bigger! soo tomorrow only 37 days and the day after tomorrow only 36 :) soo now I have to go to bed because tomorrow I must work early and after work I drive to my grandparents and we eat together <3 soo byeebyeee

test packing

finally back! today I packed my suitcase to look if everything fits. And the test ist positive!
at first I made a pack list where i listes everything what I need in America.. Inken told me that I can use her shampoo because she dont bring it back to germany so I dont have to brings mine with me... for the training school I have little sample packs :) my lovely rosa suitcase is up to the brim! I dont want to wait any longer to go to america and Im so delighted :):) next week I must visit the doc for my health certificate -.-
but this week i already visited my gynecologist and made a appointment. So Im almost ready for my andventurous year!!

Hostfamily Presents :)

I had already bought some presents for my hostfamily for the hole family a memorie game with german motives and the description of them and a cook book with german recipes! For Jake i have a calvin klein wallet from my work, for the girls I have signs with their first letter and a bracelett in pink, a horse soft toy, a Lillifee quartett and soap bubbles and chocolate ♥
Annd my siutcase is standing next to me :):):) it arrived when i was in Bulgaria..
I definetly love it! and i will always see which is mine. Confusions excluded !

Bulgariaa!

Today I flew back home to Germany from Bulgaria where we made our Abitour :) seven days at the Golden Sands were great! we had good sunny weather and a lot of fun and i have written a card to my wonderful host family... the meals at our hotel were not so good but that was okay because the weather, beach and party was good! great time and only 53 days until my arrival date :) I really look forward to fly to NY and meet my host family. Tomorrow i drive a second time to Frankfurt because natalia one of my friends goes to america too and she has her appointmend tomorrow, so she will pick me up at 7 am because she doesnt want to drive alone. And now in the final days i have to visit the doc to fill out my physician health evaluation. But i dont want to :D

Suitcase bought!

My suitcase i finally bought! I opted for an rose one from Titan and I hope he is here until wednesday then I can use it to Bulgaria :) pleeeeaase postman bring my suitcase...haha.. my cousin bought it in the internet for me because my father and I had differences -.-

64

Still 64 days! Yesterday I bought some hostfamily presents and a diary with my grandma. She wants me so write everything down what i experience :) and this is a very good idea because she has no pc or internet so she can read it after my year in new york in this diary.. I printed some photos and written addresses into. And I stuck a dollar bill in the diary! my first one will be my last one too :) I bought a quartett for the girls to play with and letters for their doors, lillifee chocolate and a pink bracelet, also I have a Hamm elephant and a cook book with german food and I hope they will like it. After my oral exam my week was really relaxed I went to the gym, played volleball and I was running because tomorrow is my practical test and tuesday my final endurance test :) now a girl from my school will fly together with me to america. Christina will live in Minnesota by a hostfamily, she has her final since last week. And in the Facebook group 1.8 Training School there are more and more! now I´m looking forward to tomorrow....ahhhh.....  major day! I am happy when I got it behind me :D

Exciting Skype Conversation

Today I had a exciting Skype Conversation with my Hostfamily :) The Girls are so cute! Sophia was dancing infront of the cam and showed me her glittering ballerinas and Isabella showed me her medal she won in the morning :) Their parents are so cool I really like to talk with them they told me about their summer plans and school.. before my Skype Conversation I visited my Grandparents to look at a suitcase and eat cake! but the one they have is to small so I must search for another one. I Think they are more excited than me :D
And next week we will Skype another time with my Parents and siblings..

postman i love you!

Perfect! Yesterday the postman brought me my passport with my visa and my police certificate :) now only the international drivers license is missing! but I think it will be in the post in the next days. I thought it takes longer to get them.. but it is good as it is! And in the next days i must make a appointment with my doctor to fill out the physician health certificate :( I dont like any kind of doctors... now only 71 days until my departure date :) ohhh and I must go to the insurance to confirm my health insurance.

U.S Embassy

Yeah! my visa is approved and now things can go without fear that something on the embassy doesn´t work :) as I said we started this morning at 6 am  and have made a stop a few meters in front of the embasssy so have brekfast at mcdonald :) my luck! then I was about 20 minutes to early and there where not so much people waiting I could go in directly. Then there was a control like at the airport. Then we must sit in a hall and wait untill our number is called then a person on the counter ask for the documents and fringerprints.. so that was the first time on the counter .. then I have to wait about one hour  till my second time there a man asked two questions and some formal stuff and said that my visa is approved :) everything was very simple and we were able to drive back home at 10.30 am. The return path was nice the highway was not very full and we could go fast around 240 km/h I think haha :D that was a good part!

So now I have to wait until my Passport comes with the post who includes my visa :)

Frankfurt Countdown!

Now it´s Tuesday evening and only a few hours until my appointment at the U.S. embassy..  we start tomorrow at 6 am and need 3 hours i think. If I´m lucky we have breakfast at mc donalds :) Tine has already passed her appointment and told me that it was a lot of waiting... so I am not soo excited but a little bit ;)
I will see how it goes :) and now I go to bed because I have to stand up early!

Office stuff

This morning I was in the gym and on my way home i drove past the citicenz office and get the idea to apply for my international drivers license... and so I went in and kow I must wait until it comes with the post :)
so this next step is done and america is a step closer!
And now I´m waiting for my friend jessica who wants to visit me in New York. Today we want to spend a nice day together we will talk a lot about america and my hotfamily in america I think and make Crepes with Nutella :) ..now I have to buy some strawberrys for the Crepes! yummy!

Christine my american Girl ♥

Christine goes to America too, but she will live in Maryland and arrives 3 week earlier :(
some years ago tine and I visit a au pair event in münster together and since that day we want to go to america as an au pair :) to the preparation meeting we went together, too!
and she is one of my best friends because we have always fun together!
one day in the next weeks we want to visit the citizens office together to request documents... and my international drivers license. And I hope we manage to visit each other because Maryland is about 4 hours away from New York.

My personal Diary!

The Countdown begins from today only 75 days until my arrival date! then I say good bye to Germany and hallo to New York :)
I´m getting more and more excited... Wednesday I drive to the embassy in Frankfurt and my appointment is at 9.30 am so we (means my father and I) start at 6.30 am I think!
And for that I did visa photos today.. very very ugly photos... but who cares :D
I printed the Documents I need for the U.S. embassy and presently I start this wonderful Blog :)
And now after my first post I say good night and hope for good dreams
